Application of these terms

These terms and conditions, which incorporate our Privacy Policy (found here) apply to bookings made with MIPAD Holdings Limited or its affiliates for the MIPAD Hotel ("we", "us" or "our") and the use of the www.mipadhotels.com website, including any products, services, content or functionality available using that website (the "website"). By booking with us or otherwise using the website you agree to be bound by these terms.

In these terms "you" means the person accessing or using the website and/or making room bookings and "your" has a corresponding meaning. If you make bookings on behalf of others you must ensure that each of those persons are aware of and comply with these terms.

Purchasing from the website

To place a booking with us you must be at least [18] years of age. The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy details on the website. By making a booking, you agree to adhere to this number and to otherwise be responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages on the terms below. Only named booking party/parties are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any third party visitors are only allowed access at our express permission.

To secure any booking we require full payment at the time of reservation, which is refundable on the terms below. All room rates and charges on our site are in New Zealand dollars (NZ$) and include New Zealand GST (if any).

Payment

Payment is to be made by credit card. The functionality of our online payment facility is for your convenience only and you use it at your own risk. Information transmitted over the internet is never entirely secure. We take reasonable measures to protect your payment information (e.g. all transactions are processed using a secure online payment facility), however you are responsible for ensuring your computer is free from viruses or other form of corruption. We are not responsible or liable for any unauthorised access or interference with any of your payments.

We may deduct any amounts you owe us from any credit or debit card information you provide us.

We may also accept cash as a form of payment in some circumstances.

Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in is available from 2pm on the day of arrival (earlier check-in may be notified to you via the hotel app)
  • Check-out by: 10am on day of departure

Cancellation, Returned Deposit & Non-Arrival Conditions

In the event you should cancel your reservation, a full refund is applicable anytime up to 24 hours prior to the anticipated 2pm check in time.

Cancellations are to be received in writing via email to reservations@mipadhotels.com

Your booking shall be deemed non-refundable in the event of the below:

  • Cancellation within 24 hours of the anticipated 2pm check in time
  • No show
  • Premature Departure

Non-arrival guests, who are unable to attend or fail to attend for whatever reason forfeit the full amount of the booking, unless cancelled in accordance with the timeframes above.

In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.

WiFi Fair & Appropriate Usage Policy

Where WiFi Internet access is provided, guests accept to use this access to the Internet fairly and appropriately. We may monitor network performance and user usage in order to maintain a fair and high level of service to all our guests.

The Internet access provided is intended for general use such as access to the world wide web, email, messaging, social media, light video / music / media streaming. It is not intended or ideally suited for heavy media streaming, online gaming, extensive downloads / uploads. Access to illegal activity or use of our network for illegal activity is prohibited and will be reported to local authorities.

Damages & Lost Property

We reserve the right to charge you for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimise damage and associated costs.

Any lost property, if discovered and found, left behind by guests during a stay will be held for a period of 1 month. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners at the owner's cost, we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items or related costs.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for loss or damage to any of your property during your stay with us. To the extent we cannot exclude our liability at law, our liability is limited to a maximum of $200. Please ensure all doors and windows are locked, and personal items secured, when you are not in your room.

Unaccompanied Minors

Any person under the age of 18 must be accompanied in the room by an adult over the age of 18.

Children

mi-pad is an adult friendly hotel, please contact the hotel if you intend staying with children under the age of 16 years, maximum room occupancy is 2 persons. We do not provide cots, cribs or any additional bedding for infants.

Smoking

Smoking in and on the Hotel property, including outdoor social areas, is prohibited. Should you be found smoking in or on the Hotel property, we may issue fines or require you to be evicted without refund.

Pets & Service Dogs

We do not accept pets throughout the accommodation, except for service dogs.

Quiet Enjoyment

All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbours and the owners at all times. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect if guests are not honouring this agreement or causing a disturbance / nuisance to other guests, neighbours or the owners.

Luggage Storage (During Stay and After Check Out)

During your stay, luggage can be stored in your hotel room or in the Locker Room on the Reception Lobby level. Lockers, including ski sized lockers, are accessible via the app or through Reception during the time of your stay.

After Check Out, on occasion, guests may ask the hotel to store luggage. In consideration of the receipt and storage of the property a check will be issued, it is agreed by the holder in accepting this check, that the hotel shall not be liable for loss or damage either as a result of the ordinary or gross negligence of the hotel or its employees, or otherwise, except where it shall appear that such loss or damage was caused by the wilful act of the hotel. If property represented by this check is not claimed, the hotel may sell same without notice. The hotel is authorised to deliver the property to any person presenting the check without identification. The hotel reserves the right to charge for overnight storage of property.

Your Personal Details & Privacy

Our policy surrounding the personal details you provide as part of any booking or enquiry through this website / or third party website, including the privacy of those details are explained and set out in our Privacy Policy which you can read here.

We may collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information (including the personal information that you provide to us and that we obtain from third parties) for a number of purposes detailed in our Privacy Policy. For example:

  • managing your hotel bookings;
  • collecting information about you (for example, your booking history) along with information in the public domain to improve or tailor services offered to you;
  • for statistical analysis, sales and marketing research and for business improvement analysis;
  • sending you marketing material about products and services we believe are suited to you and your interests. If you do not wish to receive any of this material you may simply choose “unsubscribe” from our mailing list and no further material will be sent to you;
  • otherwise to lawfully conduct and develop our business, and
  • any other use that you authorise.

and you consent to the collection, use and disclosure for those purposes and any reasonable related purpose.

Our Right To Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel any booking without compensation, refund or reimbursement if these terms and conditions are breached.

General

Changes

We may revise these terms of use at any time (with immediate effect) by amending this page and will not be required to notify you of any such change. Some of the provisions contained in these terms of use may also be superseded by provisions or notice published elsewhere on the website.

Severability

If any part of these terms are held by any court or administrative body of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, void or unenforceable, such determination will not impair the enforceability of the remaining parts of these terms.

Jurisdiction

These terms and any matters or disputes connected with the website or the purchase of goods will be governed by New Zealand laws and will be dealt with by New Zealand courts.
